Our Optometrist

Darren Liver graduated with honours from university of New South Wales in 1990 he is one of a small percentage of Optometrists who is recognised by the optometrist’s board as an Ophthalmic Medicines provider, meaning he can write prescriptions for medicated eye drops just as a doctor can. He has a keen interest in all aspects of Optometry including children’s vision and Contact lenses. He is recognized by Civil Aviation Saftey Authority (CASA) as a testing Optometrist for aviation. Darren has been a member of the Optometrist association for over 20 years He lives in nearby Port Kembla and enjoys the lifestyle the Illawarra offers.

Michelle Moon

Optical Dispenser

A qualified and experienced optical dispenser, Michelle is the founder of Dapto Optical which she started in 2001. Michelle has worked in the optical industry for nearly 20 years in various locations in the Illawarra.
Michelle has lived in the Dapto region all her life and continues to do so with her family.

Virginia McKinnery

Optical Dispenser

Virginia joined Dapto Optical in 2005. Virginia graduated as a licensed Optical Dispenser in 1992. Virginia also has extensive knowledge and experience in the optical industry and is qualified to give advice on frame and lens selection.

Julie Wilmot

Julie is also another Dapto local a valuable asset to Dapto optical with her sense of style and organization skills she is an integral member of our team.
